Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Salesforce Administrator for OIT – Enterprise Application Services. This position is under the direction of a Project Manager/Associate Director for Enterprise Application Services (EAS) and provides analytical and programming support for Enrollment Management office and other University administrative and academic offices. This position serves as primary system administrator for the enterprise Salesforce.com environment.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Handles all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks.
Manages necessary system upgrades in all Salesforce environments as well as testing all impacted areas and workflows.
Works with our institutional management team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities.
Assists in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization.
Works with members of the user community to define and document development requirements.
Coordinates the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science/Business major or related field; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of three years experience in systems administration.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes
Experience with Lightning Interface
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work with changing priorities and with multiple projects
Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business major with relevant systems experience.
Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
Strong data management abilities
A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion
A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
