The Lead ProjectCoordinator is part of the Printing Services department at VanderbiltUniversity and is an individual contributor which acts as a liaison betweencustomers and operations, fielding production questions, providing jobestimates and solving minor production questions or concerns. Thisposition reports directly to the Assistant Director of Printing Services. This role partners with all departments throughout the VU community.
The Lead ProjectCoordinator expertly advises our internalcustomers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services,and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practicesrelated to the printing industry. This position has frequentcontact with customers to obtain, provide or clarify information concerningquality, scheduling or delivery of products. The Lead Project Coordinatorsupports various high-volume customer groups, and is expected to offer expertconsultant and guidance for clients. In addition, the Lead Project Coordinatormay serve as a subject matter expert for other Project Coordinators. Developsand maintains favorable working relationships with customers, promoting theoperations and services provided.
Vanderbilt PrintingServices is committed to the University and Medical Center community. Thedepartment employs 29 full time staff members who process over 6,000 ordersannually, averaging more than 20 million impressions. Campus Copy is the'quick print' arm of Printing Services. Equipped with a fleet of high-endproduction digital copiers and printers, Campus Copy can turn around even themost difficult projects quickly.
Proficiently perform various administrative duties such as answering the phones, placing supply orders and sorting departmental mail
Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, Printing Services team members, and leadership
Takes ownership of the customer's printing and creative needs and offers viable solutions
Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
Manages the logistics of small to medium projects, provide job estimates, follows through to completion, and updates customer as needed
Provide guidance and serve as subject matter expert for other departmental staff
Profile of an IdealCandidate
High school diploma is necessary
Completion of some college courses is strongly preferred.
Knowledge and application of printing skills including selling, servicing and graphics design is necessary
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites is necessary
Strong verbal and written communication skills is necessary
Able to multitask in a deadline-intensive environment
