The Boston University's Creative Services (CS) group is seeking an experienced Account Supervisor to serve as the primary liaison between CS and marketing partners throughout the University, ensuring superior collaborative relationships and helping to establish CS as a trusted resource for developing strategic integrated marketing initiatives. The Account Supervisor also serves as team leader on projects and as a mentor for Account Executives for strategic marketing thinking and planning as well as managing print and interactive design projects successfully.
Translates project intake for creative teams in the form of creative briefs.
Partners closely with creative teams to ensure work addresses University marketing partners communication goals.
Provides detailed estimates to enable marketing partners to meet their marketing communication objectives and ensure that projects proceed and deliver within desired timeframes and budget.
University Partner Relationship Management:
Lead and collaborate with key marketing communication partners across the University through the planning process for communication initiatives to identify key objectives, target audience(s), and messaging needs.
Lead meetings with marketing partners and initiate/oversee follow up; escalate any issues to Account Management Supervisors.
Work with University marketing partners and CS staff to develop thoughtful, realistic integrated marketing communication strategies to meet objectives.
Utilize CS management systems and processes to successfully manage all stages of projects.
Provide key information and updates of current and recurring projects to aid in planning approaches, determining resources, setting priorities, etc.
B.A./B.S. preferred. Five to eight years' experience in marketing communications. Familiarity with marketing principles and the creative process including web and print design. Demonstrated ability to lead a project, manage internal and external team members, resolve issues under deadline pressure. and juggle multiple tasks. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team atmosphere that includes colleagues, administrators and senior staff. Keen attention to detail. Higher Education and/or in house agency experience preferred.
