DEA has an excellent opportunity for a motivated, organized individual seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity as a Project Manager/Designer Level I. This person is responsible for the electric system design, project management, and billing of all assigned projects between internal work groups and external entities, including system additions, changes and upgrades, residential construction projects, system improvements and lighting projects.
The Project Designer manages many projects and coordinate the work of employees within DEA, property owners, developers, outside engineering firms, government agencies, and contractors. While doing this coordination, this individual must also ensure the entire project is completed on-time, within budget and is functional when completed.
Associates degree, plus two-years’ technical training in courses relating to electrical technology, in electrical distribution, or project management. Mapping, human relations, and communications coursework are all desired.
A minimum of five years’ experience in electrical utility experience is required in the design and project management and layout of main feeder lines and distribution lines.
Eight years of applicable experience may be substituted for the degree.
Operating knowledge and experience with computers is required.
Must have thorough knowledge of utility system operations and construction.
Must have working knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code
