The Director of Total Rewards is responsible to ensure the Company's compensation and benefits offerings are competitive, compelling and differentiate Lindt as an employer of choice. This individual works with the VP-HR to set the overall total rewards strategy and ensure effective delivery of all pay and benefits programs across the organization. Managing a team of 5 this person is responsible for overseeing Payroll, HRIS, Benefits and Reception.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Compensation & Benefits
Partner with the VP, HR to define our employee compensation programs to ensure salaries and bonus program are market competitive and enable Lindt to attract and retain top talent.
Lead the annual salary review process to ensure performance assessments equitably align with merit and bonus awards across departments.
Monitor employees' placement within the compensation ranges and recommend salary adjustments where needed to retain top talent and/or ensure pay practices remain competitive for the role and/or market conditions.
Manage annual bonus programs which includes partnering with senior leaders to ensure these programs drive employee's focus on what is needed to achieve business goals. Continually benchmark and/or revise incentive plans as needed to ensure they are both competitive and supporting the achievement of key business initiatives.
Responsible for ensuring the Company's benefits strategy and plans are compelling, competitive and cost effective. This entails consistent review and annual industry benchmarking of retirement, health, dental, vision, disability, life and other wellbeing related offerings.
Oversee the relocation of internal employees and new hires, ensuring both a positive experience and the execution complies with the company's relocation policy.
Payroll Administration & Compliance
Oversee payroll preparation for 1300+ employees, ensuring its accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable laws.
Responsible to ensure a thorough review and analysis of Payroll and regulatory compliance reports is conducted (e.g. EEO-1; ACA; 401k discrimination testing, etc.). Identify and resolve non-compliance issues and/or procedural gaps that require addressing.
Lead the customization of the company's time and attendance system (eTime), to ensure it accurately captures employee's work time and the system complies with all regulatory and/or legal requirements.
HRIS & Reporting
Ensure all HRIS systems (Talent Management, timekeeping, HR information, payroll) deliver an exceptional user experience and enables informed decision making at all levels within the organization.
Leverage technology to automate business processes and workflows that support the effective and accessible delivery of talent management and total rewards programs.
Maintain an understanding of company priorities, key initiatives and cross functional projects as a way to ensure the HR systems meet users' needs and help leaders effectively develop and manage their talent.
Track and report key HR and talent metrics and make recommendations and/or communicate meaningful trends based upon analysis of the data.
Serve as a global administrator of talent management systems (Cornerstone) to ensure the system works, is updated as needed and additional implementations are supported across the Group.
Qualifications & Requirements:
8-10 years of experience leading overseeing total rewards programs, in larger CPG companies preferred.
Working knowledge of payroll and benefits state and federal level compliance requirements.
5+ years of HR experience working with Consumer-Packaged Goods, Manufacturing and/or Retail environments preferred.
5+ years leadership experience.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong, collaborative leadership skills with the expertise to continually elevate and improve company's total rewards programs.
Fluency and prior experience with HRIS and/or payroll systems and processes.
