Fitch Ratings is seeking a Data Scientist experienced in business transformation to join the Global Operations group as a member of its newly formed AI team. The Global Operations group supports the core Fitch Ratings business of providing ratings, research and data on thousands of debt-issuing entities to market participants around the world. We are a highly visible team and play an integral role in building solutions to enhance the rating and research process for 1,500 analysts globally. We also harness the data and insights generated by analysts to develop data-driven products. These products can be internal or external and can range from data feeds to interactive visualizations. We are seeking an entrepreneurial technologist that can operate at the intersection of data science, business process transformation and product development.
The key responsibilities of the position will include but are not limited to:
Collaborate with functional experts and organizational leaders in the implementation of AI-driven products and process improvements
Partner with 3rd party vendors in the implementation of emerging technologies
Integrate and mine large data sets, connecting data from disparate sources to identify critical insights and pragmatic data solutions
* Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts required
* Prior experience in digital transformation or business process optimization
* Prior experience in financial services industry a plus but not required
* Strong attention to detail and problem solving ability
* Good written and verbal communication skills
