Reporting to the Hamilton Lugar School Director of Communications & Marketing, the Graphic Designer develops ideas, designs print and digital materials, and assists in maintaining the Hamilton Lugar School brand across the school's 27 departments, centers, programs, and institutes.
This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:
Acquiring images, logistical details, and other graphic assets for school and unit events
Designing print flyers, brochures, and graphics for digital signage, social media, email blasts, websites, and video in line with the branding and style requirements for each individual event, the Hamilton Lugar School, and Indiana University.
Developing brand-approved templates for posters, emails, digital slides, and other communication collateral
Ensuring all assets are approved by the Director of Communications & Marketing before distribution
Associate's degree in graphic design, art, fine arts, or related field and one year of design experience in a professional business setting.
Combinations of education and related experience may be considered.
Expert-level proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite software, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro. Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of various traditional and electronic/new media platforms, as well as experience with print production. Self-motivated and strong work ethic to see tasks through. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information. Ability to be diplomatic and represent the Hamilton Lugar School in a professional and team-oriented manner. Strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
