We have an opening for a Full-Time Dental Hygienist to work at Premise Health's employee health center located at the Premier Auto Manufacturer in the Upstate Area ( Greer , SC) ! Great benefits and good pay! PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Assesses patient needs, and plans and delivers direct dental care and associated services to patients. Utilizes established dental hygiene protocols and procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Delivers direct patient care to patients as assigned, using established dental hygienist procedures. Performs routine treatment procedures, such as cleaning, polishing, x-rays, application of sealants and fluorides, and related procedures. Provides and manages direct patient care, including intra and extra oral examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment. Performs required clinical procedures following established protocols for prevention of transmission of infectious diseases. Maintains equipment and supplies, keeps recall lists appropriate to the need of the individual patient, and works with the Registrars to schedule patients according to these needs. Works with the Dental Director to help develop and implement systems to improve patient care and compliance. Assesses dental condition and needs of patient , uses patient screening procedures, to include medical history review, dental charting, and perio charting. Takes patient vital signs as required. Develops and implements individualized dental care plans for patients. Performs patient education, treatment planning, and patient/family teaching under the supervision of a qualified dentist. Maintains patients’ dental records, documents dental history or chief complaint. Records and reports pertinent observations and patient reactions to dental staff, as appropriate. Documents lab procedures and ensures follow up on results. Provides excellent internal/external customer service via telephone, fax or face-to-face contact to assist patients with their health care needs. Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during treatment of patients. Performs patient triage and initiates patient care as appropriate for walk-in patients. Performs other related duties as assigned BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Education : Graduate from an accredited program of Dental Hygiene and in accordance with Dental State Board guidelines State Dental Hygiene License Current certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required Experience: Experience with Digital Radiographs (DEXIS) Experience with Dentrix At least three-year experience preferred, new graduates welcomed and encouraged to apply! Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of dental equipment and techniques Knowledge of current regulations on practices for prevention of transmission of infectious diseases. Strong computer skills (Internet software, spreadsheet, word processing etc.) preferred. Knowledge and experience with Eaglesoft preferred.
