BlackRock is seeking a candidate to join as a Research Analyst within the BII Economics and Markets Research team, who will help leverage the firm's expertise by providing rigorous finance and macroeconomics analysis and policy insight.
Located in London or New York, the primary responsibilities include but not limited to:
Supporting the BII Economic & Markets Research Function in assisting with research and data analysis across key thematic investment issues with implications across asset classes.
Conduct analysis on relevant economic data releases and market themes as directed
Economic and financial modeling: developing, utilizing, analyzing and dissecting quantitative models
Producing research and assisting in presentations to internal audiences.
Support internal investor connectivity initiatives
Knowledge / Experience:
Ideally an advanced degree in economics, macroeconomics or finance
A passion for macroeconomics, financial markets and empirical analysis, experience in the finance sector
Strong statistical modelling and data analysis skills
Deep understanding of macroeconomic and financial data
Open-minded thought process and intellectual curiosity
Motivated team player, flexible in approach and ability to work independently
Responsive with keen attention to detail
Able to manage workload effectively and deliver quality work on schedule
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – presenting in a clear, concise and constructive manner
Very strong statistical/econometric software skills and excellent academic background
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (particularly PowerPoint and Excel)
Python and Thomson Reuters Eikon/Haver/Eviews experience preferred
Additional European language skills apart from English are desirable but not a requirement
