RiverBank's Risk Department is an important part of the Bank's second line of defence. The Risk staff cover the management and monitoring of the credit risk process including the organisation of the risk committees as well as risk analyses, stress testing programmes, the Bank's ICLAAP and Recovery Plan and other strategic projects. The Risk Department is also monitoring on an ongoing basis the regulatory requirements issued by the CSSF, the BCL, the EBA, the BCBS, the ECB and the ESMA where relevant in consideration of the Bank's business model and activities.
Validate and verify data used for risk reports and analysis
Prepare portfolio, risk and liquidity reports on Bank's risk exposures relative to its risk appetite and methods
Analyse outputs of reports
Prepare monthly IFRS9 provisioning calculations
Monitor daily the liquidity profile and limit usage
Ensure documentation of risk policies and methodologies in place and up-to-date
Prepare risk assessments on new businesses and products
Prepare tailored risk reporting for different stakeholders / audiences
Support the Bank's compiling of the ICAAP, ILAAP and Recovery Plan
Preparing financial models as part of the Bank's budgeting and planning process
React to the changing environment and identify any risks involved in this changing environment
Ensure data feeds are supported by accurate, consistent, complete and transparent information
Scoping, specifying and testing of risk analytics tools and models including prototyping
Support the creation of BCP / DCP to limit risks
Assist in delivery of regulatory requirements including submission of regulatory reports
Ensure monitoring of all risk KPIs
Support execution business plan, strategic initiatives and other relevant governance topics
Skills and Competencies
3 to 5 years' experience in Risk Analytics or Risk Function in a bank
Excellent modelling, data analysis and problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge of standard risk measures & models
Relevant experience in a similar role within a financial institution and a regulated environment
Solid knowledge of Banking (preferably Commercial Banking)
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Fluency in English required with Dutch and/or German language desirable
University degree/ professional qualification in finance or mathematics
