The Department of Educational Leadership Studies in the College of Education at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a non-tenure track, open rank, clinical faculty position. This position will be associated with the Center for Next Generation Leadership and the new UK Next Gen Scholars dual-credit initiative in the Office of the Provost. This individual will serve as the Director of Next Generation Scholars Digital Learning and as coordinator of the Center for Next Generation Leadership’s signature Next Gen Leadership Academy and other teacher and leader engagement efforts for the College of Education. The appointment is a twelve-month appointment.
Responsibilities include the following: Work with UK personnel to develop online dual-credit courses; monitor deployment of all dual-credit courses; provide oversight and quality control for the development and deployment of dual-credit courses; build digital platforms to support schools in the UK Next Gen Network; lead integration of school-developed learning assets into digital platforms; provide oversight and quality control over the development and implementation of the UK Next Gen Network; support ongoing implementation of the UK Center for Next Gen Leadership projects including the Next Gen Leadership Academy; interact with school and district leaders, dual-credit scholars, and all program faculty and staff; collaborate with P12 schools and higher education institutions to secure external funding focused on next generation learning partnerships; contribute to teaching related to leadership, learning, and innovation; and perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of the UK Center for Next Gen Leadership.
Qualifications include a relevant earned graduate degree, earned doctorate preferred; experience as a P12 educator; demonstrated administrative/leadership competence related to the integration of digital technologies and learning; and demonstrated ability to collaborate with education institutions across the P20 spectrum.
