UK HealthCare seeks a dynamic, experienced executive to serve as its next Chief Data Officer. This is a unique opportunity at one of the most respected healthcare institutions in the U.S. The Chief Data Officer (CDO) champions data and analytics and is expected to be a master change agent in building the critical foundations of the digital business at UK HealthCare. This position will oversee a Performance Analytics Center of Excellence (PACE) for UK HealthCare and the College of Medicine. The CDO is focused on value exploitation for UKHC data assets and the external data ecosystem. This includes envisioning data-enabled strategies and enabling all forms of health care quality, value, safety, and business outcomes through analytics.
The CDO will be responsible for data and analytics development, data governance, personnel and fiscal responsibility, and in developing strategic relationships with a wide variety of key leaders and other stakeholders. He or she will conduct strategic workforce planning and develop a strategy to close gaps in data-driven culture, information management skills and competencies while also developing the enterprise’s capacity to gain insights with advanced predictive analytics. The role will lead regulatory and compliance programs related to data and analytics assets and ensure that appropriate audit controls exist for data and analytics that serve as the source material for regulatory reports. The CDO will endeavor to evolve and institutionalize processes and behaviors for the appropriate use of information within changing security requirements, privacy needs, ethical values, societal expectations and cultural norms. The CDO will collaborate with the Enterprise Data Warehouse team to ensure master and metadata management enables one true source of data.

Broad experience desired, but not essential, in multiple domain areas, such as data warehousing, business intelligence (BI), data governance, data architecture, data integration, data classification, data strategy, data quality management, data security and privacy, data standards, regulatory compliance, and enterprise architecture frameworks.

The ideal candidate is an experienced data and analytics leader with deep knowledge of data management processes and tools and experience working in a matrixed environment. A master’s degree in business administration, computer science, data science, information science or related field, or equivalent work experience is highly preferred.
