Do you have experience driving end-to-end processes using LEAN? Are you able to apply LEAN and CI techniques and tools in a human resources or business operations setting? We’re searching for a quality-results oriented individual to help guide our efficiency, compliance, and innovation efforts to meet the evolving needs of our university community.
The Lean Project Manager provides project management support and consulting services to Central HR units on moderate to highly complex projects by translating business objectives into projects with clearly defined scope, timing, deliverables, resources and key measures of success. This role identifies and assists with implementing innovative solutions using Lean Six Sigma principles.
Responsible for managing HR projects including the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and scope. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of projects, as well as prepares project status reports for upper management.
Introduce the Lean strategy and tools to assist with project execution and support departments with creating a culture of continuous improvement.
Develop the internal capability for UC to provide its own Lean training and development program and develop leaders who can promote and sustain a Lean culture.
Identify, develop and document both current and future-state business processes for assigned projects.
Evaluate potential software solutions related to assigned projects and make recommendations to management in accordance with business need.
Manage Central HR’s analytics, including support and training for users.
Work closely with UC’s technical support team to ensure accessibility, functionality and performance of Central HR’s content on the university’s digital platforms ensuring compliance with sections 504 and 508 of the American with Disabilities Act.
Provide direct supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff.
Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years’ experience (Sr. Level Professional)
7 years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Must have Lean Six Sigma Certification
Additional Qualifications Considered
Lean Six Sigma certified Green Belt or above
Working knowledge of human resources functions and federal employment and labor laws
Additional experience in project management, process improvement, change management and/or program evaluation
Proficiency using BI or data visualization software to prepare, manage, analyze and present data
