As Senior UX Design Researcher you will be a core part of the design team within Digital Services to run design feedback sessions and usability studies, and gather feedback from our client community with a focus on the end-to-end user journey.
Expertise with a variety of research methodologies and ability to apply the most appropriate one for the project's needs
Strong sense for user-centered design principles, careful attention to detail, and ability to see the bigger picture
Possess a strong eye for intuitive and disruptive digital experiences in the banking space
Knowledge of current web technology capabilities and cross-device considerations.
Solid understanding of interaction design patterns related to web and mobile design
Ability to independently plan, document, and justify decisions in all phases of the research process
Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of the research process at once
Extensive end-to-end experience with all aspects of usability research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)
Stellar presentation and communication skills to lead client sessions as well as share out research and analysis clearly and effectively across the organization
Proficiency in usability testing and research tools such as Morae software.
Ability to use prototyping tools such as InVision, Sketch, Visio, etc.
Expertise in PowerPoint and collaboration tools such as WebEx to create engaging presentations made to Head of UX and Digital Services as well as product personnel
Good time-management skills
Passionate about incorporating UX research methods into the design process
Ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast- paced fluid environment
Able to collaborate with teams to understand business objectives, needs, and constraints and define research goals to help us all gain a better understanding of clients and their needs
Ability to use both quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions
Interest in working directly with designers to develop prototypes for testing and implement resulting recommendations
Extreme attention to detail, willingness to do "detective work" as needed
Possession of good communication skills and strong people skills to execute duties with minimal conflict and complications between collaborative and cross-functional personnel
Background in banking services supporting the innovation economy a plus.
Required Education and Experience
7 + years' experience in usability studies, interviewing, ethnographic observation, and video editing.
Vast experience in usability studies, interviewing, ethnographic observation, and video editing.
A portfolio that includes examples of leading strategic research with significant business outcomes
Experience with both consumer and business facing financial applications.
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Master's degree in Cognitive Science, Statistics, Human- Psychology, Computer Science, Computer Interaction, or any other related field
