The primary purpose of this position is to play a lead role in developing and implementing a comprehensive plan for the effective use of technology within Business and Finance. This position is responsible for supporting Banner Finance and coordination with Banner Advancement, Human Resources, and Student Billings/Receivables and Financial Aid modules. This position also has responsibility for coordinating the smooth operation of the Banner Finance and related auxiliary systems. Additionally they will serves as the lead liaison between Banner Finance and Information Technology Services, external stakeholders, and The University of North Carolina System office to implement various process improvement business initiatives within the Division. The incumbent will also be the campus system administrator for Evisions, Intellecheck and Form Fusion products. The overall goal of this position will be to primary work on enhancing the use of the Banner Finance ERP and auxiliary systems. They will be implement upgrades and troubleshooting issues to improve business processing and operational efficiency. This incumbent will be member of the Process Improvement/Operational Excellence office that supports Business and Finance and University Strategic Goals.

The Process Improvement/Operational Excellence Unit supports the Business & Finance division and the University strategic goals by assisting with continues improvement and review of our business services to internal and external stakeholders, as well as, the implementation of innovative fiscally responsible best practices. Our goal is to help Business and Finance optimize operational effectiveness and efficiencies with a commitment to support the University's compliance, teaching, research, and student success outcomes. The Banner Business Systems Analyst position will play a key role on the Business and Finance Process Improvement/Operational Excellence Team in support of these strategic objectives. Their key responsibilities will be to enable system enhancements, assist units with implementation and testing of new features, and serve as primary liaison between functional Finance departments and Information Technology Services staff.

Graduation from a four year college or university with a related degree to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institution.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science Information Systems or related field
Five years of Ellucian Banner Finance experience updating system data and working in finance operations, information technology, or HR operations department
Five years relevant work experience in business analysis, process redesign, and/or project management.
Minimum of 3 years of work experience in an accounting or auditing operations unit.
Minimum of 3 years of work experience leading projects/teams thru upgrades and validation testing, or business system analysis
Three years of experience report writing or sql experience
