Coordinates and assists with the design, selection, construction, commissioning, and operation of water and wastewater systems across all business units. You will serve as the SME and Readiness lead on projects for ADM plants. Also supervising regional technical staff directly and provides direction to water/wastewater plants through matrix operations organization.
Develop standards for best-applicable technology for water and wastewater projects
Promote global and regional alignment of standards, procedures and processes
Lead development of water recycling/reuse strategies aligned with corporate sustainability goals
Build and lead multi-functional teams to develop biological, chemical and engineering solutions with vendors, other third parties and internal resources
Drive optimization efforts delivering financial benefit for process operations through use of identified relevant KPI’s and follow up/support addressing related performance variances.
Serve as liaison between ADM Procurement and preferred vendors to develop consistent equipment specifications and uniformity among purchased systems
Provide technical ownership of water/wastewater 3rd party service provider relationships
Provide leadership for FEL gated process for capital discipline and the best possible outcome in new water/wastewater projects.
Ensure enduring asset performance of new water/wastewater systems through development of durable SOPs and knowledge transfer processes.
Serves as global subject matter expert for water/wastewater processes.
Assist plant personnel with project construction details to ensure most cost-effective operation.
Collaborate with Research Process Development Group to evaluate new technologies and process improvements.
Contribute to “hands-on” field assistance at plant sites during pilot trials, system construction and commissioning, and routine operation and trouble-shooting.
Develop global network of water resource engineers.
Minimum 10 years of experience focused on WWTP and water treatment.
Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising a WWTP (industrial or municipal) desired.
Extensive competencies in biological and chemical technologies for water/waste water treatment.
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in engineering required with more advanced related technical degree preferred.
Documented project manager/engineer experience for multi-million dollar water/wastewater capital projects
Strong leadership and communication (verbal/written) skills.
Position requires significant travel including international.
