Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Public Relations Specialist II for Rutgers Community Arts (RCA). The Public Relations Specialist II reports to the Director and coordinates, processes, and distributes informational emails, brochures, mailings, and other promotional materials, and assists with the implementation of marketing plans/publicity initiatives. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Analyzes enrollment data, marketing campaign data, and other data sources to make recommendations for future marketing plans and strategy.
Implements marketing plans and publicity initiatives.
Coordinates print production and distribution, email blasts/newsletters, and print and digital ad placements.
Maximizes the effectiveness and efficiency of the RCA communications efforts.
Assures efficient communication between RCA and its constituents.
Manages all social media accounts for RCA.
Maintains RCA website to include: content updates, editorial changes, and website enhancements.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communication, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates general knowledge, skill, and understanding of public relations, marketing, data analytics, event execution, light copyediting, print production, promotional advertising, organization, and/or coordination.
A minimum of two years experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Also requires good communication skills
Computer literacy to include industry standard software
Microsoft Office applications (including Excel), as well as WordPress, Illustrator and PhotoShop. Some familiarity with HTML is preferred.
