The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Data Architect, Institutional Research and Assessment
The Database Architect is a temporary position that reports to the Director of External Reporting in Institutional Research and Assessment at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The incumbent will work within institutional research data sources to:
Identify, document, and reduce redundancies
Clean up base naming according to convention
Migrate Institutional Research data into Enterprise data warehouse
Prepare data dictionary
Model the staging, business model/mapping (BMM), and presentation layers both for internal use and aligning with the enterprise operational warehouse
Implement jobs to ensure BMM and Presentation are auto populated from Staging
The candidate must understand underlying warehouse technology, including setup, tuning and administration, and have a deep understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in IT project management or technical project management related work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
