The Tax Manager is responsible for the tax accounting and reporting of federal income tax compliance for the assigned Koch businesses. The successful candidate will be expected to gain an understanding of the business activities of the assigned entities to ensure proper tax treatment of business related issues and identify opportunities.
As a Tax Manager on our team, your major responsibilities will include:
Review income tax returns to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with domestic and foreign tax law
Manage, develop and train a team of staff accountants
Maintain tax positions and attributes for assigned companies
Ensure tax reporting is aligned with and appropriately reflects business transactions and tax positions
Review quarterly tax accounting submissions
A successful candidate will have the following characteristics:
Demonstrated knowledge of a broad range of corporate tax matters, particularly federal tax provision and compliance experience
Strong aptitude for project management
Leadership and communication skills
Technical writing and research skills
Ability to train and mentor interns and staff accountants

4+ years’ experience in federal income tax role
Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following (Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or Taxation) or a JD
Position not eligible for VISA Sponsorship
ASC 740, formerly FAS 109, accounting for income taxes experience
Previous CPA firm or large multi-national corporation experience
2+ years’ experience in a supervisory/leadership role
Master’s degree in Taxation
Experience working with partnership and/or international tax compliance
