CIB DPS - Network Management - Market &Infrastructure Management - Vice President for EMEA - London Network Management is a global function within the Digital & PlatformServices (DPS) of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB). GMI is responsible for managing J.P. Morgan's network ofagent banks and financial market infrastructures (FMI) to meet J.P. Morgan'srequirements for cash and securities services for proprietary and clientactivities in over 100 markets. The network of providers includes banks,subcustodians, brokers, payment systems, central counterparties, securitiesdepositories and check clearing systems. Network Management iscomprised of several teams including Market and Infrastructure Management(MIM), Network Client Consulting (NCC), Network Performance Management (NPM),Information Management and Delivery (IMD), Agent Change Management (ACM) and Oversight Assessment Team which includesthe Network Inventory Management team and has a global presence in keylocations to provide market coverage. Within NetworkManagement, the Market and Infrastructure Management (MIM) team leverages thestandards of the J.P. Morgan's Third Party Oversight (TPO) program to select, monitorand off board providers as required by our various lines of business and to meetJ.P. Morgan's regulatory TPO requirements. In addition to managing the commercialrelationships with our providers a key deliverable of the organisation is todeliver the oversight standards in relation to the engagement anddisengagements of relationships with Financial Markets Utilities (coveringagent banks and FMIs). Rolesand Responsibilities:
Act as the interface between the Network InventoryManagement team and the global MIMs.
Support the establishment and implementation ofstandards and processes affecting engagement and disengagement of FMI in to theFirm wide network of providers.
Collect, interpret and analyse feedback from MIM'sin relation to engagement, disengagement, monthly inventory reconciliationinvestigations for both Cash, Securities and FMIs.
Become an expert in FMU relationships in the NetworkInventory and understand downstream impact to other processes within NetworkManagement impacted by the engagement and disengagement process.
Assist with periodic due diligence reviews to address TPO requirements with support fromother teams and functional partners.
Support the relevant requirements for the NewBusiness Initiative Approval and Agent Bank Initiative Approval processes fornew provider relationships.
Participate in regional or global projects requiringinformation from agent banks and FMIs.
Capturemarket information/intelligence which is shared with internal business partnersand assist with the preparation of external newsflashes for clients.
Previous experience working with or dealing with agentbanks, prime brokers, carry brokers and FMIs andTPO.
Securities, cash management and payments experiencein the financial services industry.
Network Management or buying experience is preferredbut not required.
Aptitude for risk management, compliance and oversightand control.
Ability to build relationships and influence others.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Motivated self-starter, with the ability to pick upand learn new skills and knowledge quickly.
