The primary purpose of this position is to support the residents and program director in the provision of the graduate prosthodontic program lab procedures, protocols and cases. This will include the coordination of the didactic and clinic programs, develop clinical and didactic curriculum, and serve as the main contact for MS students and their patients to manage lab process and procedural issues. The position will also provide program support to the Graduate Program Director as needed in the didactic graduate prosthodontic specialty program. This position will also complete tasks as directed by the Division Chair.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency and two years related work experience; or completion of a two year dental laboratory technology training program; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Knowledge in the use of dental and craniofacial implants and digital computer modeling is essential. The successful candidate will be skilled in multiple facets of dental technology, including removable prosthodontics. These skills include, but are not limited to, standard laboratory procedures for the fabrication of: 1. Removable partial dentures and complete dentures 2.Fixed prosthodontics: metal, porcelain-fused-to metal, and ceramic crowns
Experience with digital dentistry. Certified Dental Technician
