Job Description Position objective is to provide leadership in the support of business and finance management by developing FP&A expertise to the Moody's Investors Service (MIS). The role covers MIS business support globally
Develop and analyze the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPI), especially relating to financial metrics that are relevant to the MIS business operations
Support the consolidation of reporting, budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecast
Prepare data-driven analysis for executive leadership and supporting their decision making
Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives
Implement digital reporting with business intelligence tools and dashboards
Ad-hoc business performance reporting and special projects as assigned by Finance management
Ensures proper support to meet business requirements of financial and non-financial controls
Mentor, coach and guide Financial Analyst(s) within Planning globally
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Financial Engineering
MBA and/or relevant professional qualifications a plus
Experience in using business intelligent tools, planning systems and financial modelling
Approximately 5 years of relevant financial experience with planning and analysis processes
Exposure to working with senior leaders on financial planning and/or reporting
Advanced skills in preparing complex financial data and developing financial models and forecasts mechanisms
Experience working with proprietary planning and reporting tools; ability to utilize systems functionality, extract data and manipulate to support reporting and planning processes
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, ability to leverage data to inform business decisions
Proven ability to manage projects including regular planning processes and adhoc analytical projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confident, flexible with positive attitude, strong understanding of workflows and proactive in process improvement
Comfortable with adapting multiple systems and performing research independently
Solid understanding of accounting and financial statement reporting
Ability to work under pssure and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
Comfortable with ambiguity and adjusts to shifting priorities with appropriate sense of urgency
High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
