Infection Prevention Program Manager
In this role, you will manage the medical center Infection Prevention Program to ensure activities are directed toward preventing and decreasing health care associated infections and improving patient safety across the continuum of care (including hospitals and associated medical office buildings).
At least three years of infection prevention experience in an acute health care facility
A bachelor’s degree in a health-related field such as nursing, epidemiology, microbiology, or public health
A current Certification in Infection Control (CIC) within two years of hire
Demonstrated leadership skills
Demonstrated skills in program management, project management, time management, and/or resource management
The ability to influence change
Demonstrated skills in collaborative teamwork, problem-solving, analytic, and decision-making skills
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
The ability to develop and present educational programs and to apply adult learning principles
Demonstrated computer software application skills such as Lotus Notes, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
Preferred Qualifications Include:
A valid California license or certification in a clinical health care discipline such as nursing, clinical laboratory science, or public health preferred
Experience in Quality/Risk/Patient Safety/Just Culture/Project Management/Lean preferred
A master’s degree in nursing, epidemiology, microbiology, public health, or other discipline preferred
