The Manager, US East Region will provide guidance to regional chapters, chapter leadership, and the Regional Council members consistent with the mission and vision statements of the global organization. The incumbent will advise chapter board officers on standard chapter operations and best practices with a primary goal of enabling healthy, growing chapters consistently deliver the EO brand to their members.
This position may be based out of the EO Headquarters office in Alexandria, VA, or remote-based in Florida, Connecticut, Maryland, Washington, DC, New Hampshire, and North Carolina only.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages a portfolio of 14 chapters, building relationships and helps to provide a valuable member experience.
Serves as main point of contact for Presidents, Chapter staff, and Member Leaders of those chapters, working with them to resolve all questions and concerns.
Helps chapters with a variety of issues throughout the year with the main goal in mind of putting the chapter in the best possible position to succeed.
Provides clear and concise communication regarding the direction and requirements of the global organization to the chapters.
Promotes the PEAK checklist and keeps Presidents informed on upcoming items as well as their chapters’ status towards achieving the overall goal.
Aids in chapter strategic planning and execution during annual summit meetings, monthly area calls, and other scheduled chapter events.
Serves as the staff liaison to four Area Directors and supports them in delivering support to their assigned chapters.
Promotes the EO Strategy Summit program and assists staff in planning; attending between10-15 summit meetings annually.
Drives the onboarding process for new chapters, with support from the Director, Chapter Launches.
Serves as the Staff liaison to the Member Products Director and Product Experts.
Manages Forum, Learning, and MyEO initiatives for the region.
Leads the Signature Event and Plus 2 initiatives for the region, with the goal of encouraging members to experience EO outside their chapters.
Attends at least three EO leadership and membership conferences annually.
Assists the Staff Regional Director in preparing for the annual Presidents’ Meeting, Alignment Meeting, Global Leadership Conference, and Nerve as well as supporting logistics for 3-5 Regional Meetings.
Assists the Forum Team in preparing for the annual Moderator Summit.
Attends various video conference calls across the department, region, and global staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in any field.
3-4 years’ professional experience, preferably in a nonprofit/association/membership organization.
Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
Event and logistic experience preferred.
Proficiency in collaboration tools such as Slack, Basecamp, SamePage, CRM, etc. preferred.
Ability to interact with entrepreneurs with tact, diplomacy and poise.
Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
A self-starter who desires to show ownership and commitment to the job.

Establishes relationships proactively; shows genuine interest in the needs and concerns of others maintain a positive attitude; build networks.
The employee is normally required to work in a high-rise building equipped with elevators in an environment where the noise level is usually moderate. May be assigned to an internal work space without windows to the outside, located in close proximity to other office personnel.
Professional workplace where business casual attire is required.
Ability to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment.
