The American Lung Association has a great opportunity for a National Senior Manager, Information Technology to join our incredible team in Chicago, IL. Working as a member of the Information Technology Team, you will join an outstanding group of professionals dedicated to our mission: to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease, through research, education and advocacy.
In this role, you will be responsible for the supporting the rollout of new technology platforms and initiatives used to support mission delivery, fundraising, operations and marketing activities across the American Lung Association. The role will work closely with internal technical staff, subject matter experts and external vendors in taking a hands-on approach to managing various software platforms, digital initiatives and the data exchanged between them.
Partner with leadership from the respective divisions to evaluate business needs.
Assist in gathering system requirements from business users to create functional requirements documents.
Develop and oversee project plans?for new platform/product launches, post-launch support and system improvements/enhancements.
Evaluate project skills and budget requirements, work with deployment to identify appropriate resources and manage their integration into the team
Monitor scope, schedule and budget for the project; prepares status reports. Monitor project deliverables, monitor progress against plans and takes corrective action as needed.
Assist with change management, training and user acceptance testing to ensure successful completion of projects.
Coordinate work across internal project stakeholders, external vendors and consultants
Conduct pilot projects/proof-of-concepts to test new technology initiatives
Participate in informing the vision for improvements in technology infrastructure
Manage vendor relationships and associated contracts
Establish, track and report on key performance indicators for projects/platforms
College degree related to technology (i.e. computer science, management information systems, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
2 or more years of experience in an IT or business environment.
Prior experience working with project teams (direct or matrix)
Hands-on technical skills
Strong customer service skills
Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL tools and business intelligence, desired.
Knowledge of SQL language, desired.
Ability to create reports and/or data visualizations incorporating multiple data points, desired.
Prior experience with CRM solutions as an administrator and end user, desired.
Prior experience with digital marketing/marketing automation tools, desired.
Hands-on administration of Microsoft Office 365, desired.
Administration of hosted platforms (Azure, AWS, etc), desired.
