The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice (CRCJ) at The University of Texas at Arlington (UT-Arlington) seeks to fill one tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position will commence on September 1, 2020. The position will remain open until filled.
The standard teaching load is five courses per academic year (typically, 3/2), although this load may be modified by the Chair pursuant to grant funding or significant service assignments.
A Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or closely-related field is required. ABDs will be considered, particularly those in the final completion stages of the dissertation. Applicants with a JD alone will not be considered. Candidates must provide evidence of excellence in research, teaching, and service, as well as potential for, or record of, funded research activity. Applicants should be qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in criminology and criminal justice. The area of specialization is open, but preference will be given to scholars with research and teaching expertise in cybercrime, cybersecurity, or digital forensics or the equivalent experience.
