Minimum salary for this position is $39,500. The Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Michigan-Flint seeks a collaborative colleague to fill a two-term LEO Lecturer 1 opening at 100% effort in the theatre design and technology area for the 2019-2020 academic year.
This position will also teach the following load for the 2019-2020 academic year: Fall 2019: THE 271- Introduction to Theatre Design, THE 343- CAD for Theatre Design. Winter 2020: THE 271- Introduction to Theatre Design, THE 380- Scenic Design
Design assignments for the 5 mainstage theatre and dance productions in the areas of scenic and/or costumes depending on the specialty of the designer.
Regular attendance at production meetings, and support roles as it relates to that design position that may include scenic painter and props master. This position will also include an expectation of departmental service.
This position will begin teaching on September 4, 2019, application materials are will be reviewed as soon as possible.
Master of Fine Arts in one or more areas of theatrical design. Experience in university level teaching. Professional theatrical design experience. Examples of effective and professional level scenic painting and scenic drafting required.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
