This position is for a Director of Program Management for the Digital and Technology organization. The director of product management will set strategy and manage global programs across the globe for digital and technology. The responsibilities will include delivering programs on schedule, budget, and scope. This will entail putting the right structure in place and interfacing with executive leadership. Examples of the programs are cloud migration.
The successful candidate will be expected to be able to provide strategic thinking, leadership of key programs and will need to have broad-based expertise spanning global responsibilities, agile methodologies and public cloud. The director should be able to create and present reports to ensure the accurate status of the work, including highlighting risks and mitigation plans.
The Director of Program Management should be able to drive success through building relationships, communicating at all levels of the organization and minimizing escalations. Supports leadership in strategic analysis, scoping and approach definition. Participates in process improvement efforts. Prepares reports for leadership regarding status and budgets. Designs and manages metrics to monitor project success and reports progress against the defined objectives.
Manages the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports.
Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination.
Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval.
Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources.
Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention.
Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE
Public cloud migration and data center exit experience.
Track record working in Agile Scrum or Kanban.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university with an emphasis in either Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Minimum of 8-12 years of related experience and/or training.
Experience in a supervisory position (direct Report Responsibilities)
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Certification(s) in PMP (Project Management Professional) and/or CSM (Certified Scrum Master), AWS or Azure certifications preferred.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues.
Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups.
Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
