Job Summary: The IT Analyst III/OnBase Software Analyst leads the technical designs development, modification, and documentation of complex software solutions (purchased software, internally developed software, software modifications, and software interfaces) that execute independently or as part of a larger information system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identifies and defines OnBase business needs; identifies opportunities for improvement and develops the business plan.
Conducts stakeholder analysis, plans the execution of business analysis tasks and communication, updates or changes the approach to business analysis as required.
Documents business, task, and workflow processes using industry standard methods including business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, diagrams, flow charts, etc., ensuring that these deliverables can be used to design a solution to the stated business problem.
Reviews OnBase technical solution designs from a business point of view and recommends alternatives.
Consults with subject matter experts, technical experts, end users and other stakeholders to gather information about functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, output requirements, interfaces with other systems, etc.
Serves as liaison and resource to stake holders, developers, and other project team members throughout each phase of the process to help clarify and/or resolve issues related to requirement, design, testing and acceptance specifications.
Support/troubleshoot/fix issues, which may involve configuration changes.
Provide expertise in deploying Lean 6 Sigma programs and initiatives, and direct teams to achieve desired results using Lean 6 Sigma methodologies.
Support the analysis, planning, design, implementation and evaluation of key projects to help UTHSC achieve their goals.
Interpret needs and requirement, translate concepts into practice, identify process improvement opportunities, and quantify results and trends.
Communicates with vendor to obtain additional support on projects, to troubleshoot issues, and to manage relationship.
Coordinates with vendor and ITS staff members to ensure software upgrades are performed to OnBase in a timely manner, to manage the communication to the campus community, and to oversee user testing and implementation of upgrades.
Performs other duties as required.
Bachelor's; three (3) years of directly related experience in systems analysis, support and troubleshooting of computing applications and systems, or web-based technology OR a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal eleven (11) years; intermediate knowledge of relational databases; excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Prior experience supporting an application, such as an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software (e.g. OnBase by Hyland) and Business Analysis or Lean Six Sigma preferred.
Ability to work independently towards a defined goal. Must be able to work with other team members to ensure tasks completion between project team meetings. Strong organizational and time management skills are required. Ability to provide professional communication, both written and verbally. Strong documentation skills for project and production support life cycle projects and tasks. Strong problem identification and solving skill set. Technical understanding of systems development, including but not limited to: relational databases, query languages, and programming languages, as well as business tools, such as: the Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and Portfolio Project Management tools is preferred. May require some travel.
