The Advancement Manager is strategist and driver of the Symphony’s broadbase fundraising campaigns and loyalty programs. S/he is the Advancement Department’s link to the Marketing team, responsible for collaborating on a comprehensive strategy to drive patron growth from every segment of patrons, with special focus on increasing participation from ticket buyers and entry-level donors. This role is responsible for managing the strategy, reporting, stewardship, cultivation and solicitation of the Membership campaign (gifts less than $2,500 annually).
A successful candidate will have a friendly, customer-focused, responsive attitude with a passion for facilitating personal connections to symphonic music for patrons of all ages. A gracious and patient communication style in a fast-paced environment is a must. The ability to plan, track progress, analyze outcomes, and quickly respond to behavior trends are critical to this position.
Create a series of broadbase fundraising campaigns that include solicitation of membership renewals, special campaign giving, stewardship and box office campaigns through a combination of direct mail, online, subscription ask, personal solicitation and phone-based
Work with the Vice Presidents of Advancement and Marketing, as well as the Patron Loyalty Working Group on developing and implementing an organization-wide patron loyalty strategy that provides patron segments with personalized experiences that inspire greater investment, bringing special focus and analysis of annual giving segments of the pipeline. Provide real-time analysis, communication and necessary changes in
Lead department-wide strategy to steward current donors by encouraging concert attendance, benefits usage and participation, providing impact updates, and regular institutional communications that bring donors closer to the organization. Work with the Marketing team to prepare a regular calendar of email, social media and post regarding member benefits, events, and impact
Work with the Advancement Events coordinator to develop a series of cultivation and stewardship events, also seeking opportunities for donor engagement at
Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to facilitate best practices in online
Coordinate with Board members and Symphony musicians on personally connecting with donors at various
Staff concert receptions and events as needed to connect with members.
At least 2 years of experience in managing fundraising/marketing strategy, volunteer management, fundraising or a related
