The Program Director will facilitate the acquisition of new knowledge and the implementation of such knowledge to improve health in the community as it relates to otolaryngology diseases. Co- lead, develop, and oversee the OTO Clinomics data acquisition and analysis activities.
Primary Functions Direct program development.
Work with clinicians and team members to identify program direction and implementation.
Participate in dissemination of results and implementation of change in healthcare delivery
Coordinate, develop, and support community engagement activities
Monitor quality assurance and compliance issues.
Initiate program development and advancement through literature searches, contact with outside programs, and review of new funding opportunities.
Maintain program policies and procedures.
Participate on appropriate committees relevant to the advancement of the program and the profession or area of research.
Provide guidance on the development of program materials including educational materials, marketing materials, websites, forms, and reports.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional policies.
Ensure program data and progress are reported to program stakeholders.
Direct the organization of internal and external meetings, site visits, and special events.
Develop and manage program budget
May perform management responsibilities such as scheduling people and material resources, maintaining program timelines, and/or managing program outreach activities including acting as a liaison with community organizations
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Required Experience: 8 years
Preferred Education: Masters degree in epidemiology, statistics, or public health
Preferred Experience: 8+ years in clinical or epidemiological research

Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong technical aptitude. A team player with strong presentation and communications skills. Ability to interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to moderately complex modeling. Ability to translate big, complex data analyses into simple, user-friendly mediums that are easily digestible.
Strong interpersonal skills to develop collaborations with scientists, administrators and community representatives.
Knowledge of technical, business, consultation, project management, and cultural awareness.
