The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) has an opening for the position of Project Coordinator, Educational Content and Policy. The project coordinator for educational content and policy will provide project support for educational content and policy initiatives, as well as support the executive director with planning and organization.
NACAC is an education association of more than 15,000 postsecondary and secondary schools, organizations, counselors, and college admission and financial aid officers that work with students as they make the transition from high school to postsecondary education. Assist in the coordination and implementation of projects and initiatives of the four departments that comprise the Educational Content and Policy team, including global engagement, education and training, research, and government relations. Projects and initiatives include, but are not limited to, webinars, publication development and review, development of research and policy briefs, and development of web-based content.
Assist the executive director in the administration of the Educational Content and Policy team, including data gathering and basic analysis, organization, communications, meeting planning, and administrative work.
Assist in the development of content resources, such as web content, briefs, Bulletin items, and other resources, from the four Educational Content and Policy departments.
Monitor news, web sites, and email lists that are relevant to the association and identify items warranting attention from the association.
Support standing committee liaisons in the planning and implementation of meetings, note taking and drafting minutes, and coordinating other tasks associated with committee meetings.
Assist with the regular maintenance and updating of the Educational Content and Policy web pages.
Assist with the coordination and management of Educational Content and Policy initiatives across departments. As needed, the coordinator will assist in managing projects that span content departments to ensure timely development, implementation, and evaluations of cross-departmental initiatives.
Regularly monitor performance metrics associated with Educational Content and Policy resources, including web analytics, sales/registration numbers, and other data as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Work experience in educational content, policy, research, or comparable field.
Familiarity with college admission counseling.
Project management experience a plus.
Minimum of three years’ work experience in a professional office setting.
Basic knowledge of education, education policy, and/or education research.
Ability to innovate and translate complex information into content for college admission counseling audience.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Proficiency with basic data analysis, such as familiarity with Excel spreadsheets.
Excellent writing skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including customer service skills and flexible approach to performing a wide range of tasks.
Comfort interacting with all levels of internal staff.
