The University of Marlyand, Baltimore (UMB), School of Medicine - Office of Public Affairs is currently recruiting for a Lead Videographer . The Lead Videographer will create, design, produce and implement videos while protecting the integrity of the University's brand to ensure consistency in look and feel across all internal and external communications. The Videographer will shoot and edit video. The Videographer will accomplish the bulk of the technical tasks related to production and post-production.

Performs complex videography, editing and production of fully-produced high-quality videos to be used for the following:
Dean's State of the School Address
Major UMSOM Events, Memorial Services, Press Conferences and Award Presentations
UMSOM Social Media Channels
Digital Display Monitors
Faculty research presentations
Major UMSOM national media stories
Use a variety of high quality DSLR and video cameras as well as professional lighting equipment for use in studio or for on-site shooting in offices, laboratories, clinical areas and operating rooms.
Transports, sets up, and operates various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for location and studio production.
Operates and maintains proper levels and calibration of a wide range of cameras, audio and video recorders, and other production equipment.
Utilize software to edit video into cohesive news-style reports using video storytelling skills.
Operates VideoLink satellite uplink camera use for interviews of faculty and for in-studio video presentations.
Manages school's video digital signage system signage using both Noventri and Appspace software. Tasks include creating slides and videos for use on digital signage, developing a schedule for them to appear, and removing them as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree.
Experience: Three (3) years of experience in the field with experience in scripting, shooting, editing, nonlinear editing software, motion graphics and final delivery.
Other: Consideration may be given for a unique combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient knowledge of execution of cutting-edge design in video (scripting, execution, production, post-production, etc.) Possesses excellent concept, creative strategy, design, layout, color, composition, brand, typography, and communication skills.
Knowledgeable in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, and manipulating vector graphics and layers for use in motion graphics; best export/encoding practices for delivery across a wide range of channels including YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Stream, etc.
Ability to create compelling and appealing visual communications that meet specific goals and provide measurable results.
Demonstrated knowledge of video production from camera operation to editing and post production.
Demonstrated skill in directing subjects and eliciting great interviews. Visually creative and technically proficient.
Ability to maintain personable, excellent communication skills and professional attitude.
Strong time management and multitasking skills with ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to create and maintain good working relationships with 3rd party vendors (printers, agencies etc.).
Skill in utilizing motion graphics and animation, sound editing tools including Adobe Audition and Sound Forge, and color correcting and enhancing images and video.
Must also have creativity and imagination while being adaptable and able to pick up new techniques.
