This position develops, maintains, and provides technical support for School of Education (SOE) websites and social media accounts using the Gonzaga University (GU) approved web and media standards. It updates website and social media content according to the changing needs of the School, and works with supervisor and SOE personnel to maintain and improve the SOE's on-line presence ensuring continuity of SOE and GU themes and branding. The position serves as supervisor for the SOE Active Learning Center (ALC), and occasional photographer/videographer for SOE events.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related field.
Two years' experience with web design and social media management, (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
Proficiency with large Content Management Systems, Blackboard, Photoshop, iMovie, Final Cut Pro and Microsoft Office.
Understanding of HTML, CSS as needed.
Must be detail oriented and display professional demeanor and office appearance.
Excellent communication and writing skills, including spelling, grammar, punctuation as well as composition, editing and proofing.
Demonstrated ability to relate and work efficiently with students, faculty, staff and the public.
