Summary Specialist, Business Development B.3
Supports Business Development staff with sponsorship fulfillment, Associate member on-boarding and off-boarding and high level administrative duties.
Sponsorship Responsibilities * Reviews branding opportunities for each event; creates auto-response and online data collection form for each customized package. * Posts opportunity descriptions online concurrent with event registration opening. Ensures website links connect vendors to both the sponsor page and to the conference/event page. * Assists in the implementation of tasks laid out in the sponsorship marketing plan. * Updates website to reflect status of sponsorship opportunities. * Submits complimentary registrations. * Requests Finance to send invoices to sponsors. * Coordinates with IT to upload sponsor logos on both sponsorship and event pages. * Creates and updates the master event sponsorship spreadsheet. * Provides information to the Communications department so NRECA can use social media to recognize the commitment by the sponsors. * Obtains branded materials and signage: * Reviews design with sponsor, orders material. * Obtains approval from sponsor for logo usage, material. * Coordinates shipping to event. * Provides weekly reports to program, event and marketing managers on status of sponsorships. * On a monthly basis reviews paid/outstanding invoices. Pursues delinquent accounts. * Drafts and sends final pre-event email to sponsors containing logistics and event specific information. * Drafts and sends post-event email to sponsors containing a survey link. * Keeps all sponsorship web pages up to date.
Other Responsibilities * Manages and approves all Associate Member mailing list requests to ensure compliance with policies. * Independently, or in coordination with colleagues, delivers all data requests from Account Managers and internal business units. * On-boards new Associate members. * With Finance support, off-board terminated members by changing job roles in netFORUM, ensuring NRECA logo is no longer referenced on website and access to benefits is terminated. * Supports the RE Newsletter and RE Magazine Buyer's Guide. * No direct reports.
Requirements and Qualifications
* High School diploma or GED required, Associates Degree preferred. * Five years' experience with databases, intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products and website management. Trade association experience preferred. * Ability to be collaborative and cooperative with staff, members, and vendors in pursuit of Business Development goals. * Ability to organize and manage time, multi-task, operate under pressure, and prioritize projects. * Ability to apply good judgement related to escalating issues and requesting assistance * Ability to perform and work on multiple tasks while being flexible and able to cope with changing conditions/policies/procedures in a fast-paced working environment, while staying productive and maintaining a high level of accuracy * Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse membership, employees and/or vendors in a clear and precise manner * Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point) in the day-to-day essential duties of the job as demonstrated by prior work experience. * Ability to operate various office equipment such as personal computer, copier, printer, * Ability to provide service excellence by building relationships, being resourceful, responsive and respectful as demonstrated by prior work experience.
