The Vice President – Portfolio Management will collaborate with Partner Management peers and cross-functional teams to develop and execute on strategies and initiatives supporting one or more private label and/or cobrand credit card portfolio in Citi Retail Services’ Specialty Partners Group (SPG). This individual will directly interact with one or more partner, managing key initiatives and partner engagement to deliver against portfolio goals. The role will report to the SVP – Portfolio Management and will be located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Current Citi Retail Services employees who reside outside of the Elk Grove Village area may be considered if they meet the job posting requirements and have the ability to travel to EGV and partner locations as needed.
Assist with development, implementation, and execution of portfolio strategy
Lead oversight and implementation of partner projects and strategic initiatives to deliver against portfolio goals
Manage interaction with partner and internal cross-functional teams to move initiatives forward and deliver solutions
Lead team meetings and track progress to hold team accountable for delivery
Serve as Partner Management representative in COE-led meetings (e.g. Marketing, IT, etc.)
Act as strategic liaison with Field Sales to ensure team alignment
Manage unique partner reporting
Interface with partner regularly to manage day-to-day aspects of the partnership(s)
Assist with preparation for and attend key partner meetings
Monitor partner performance and partners’ competition to help inform strategies
Take the initiative to solve problems, create contingencies and minimize risks in order to protect the best interests of Citi and our partners
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance
6+ years of experience in relationship management, marketing, finance, product or project management, preferably with direct partner interaction
Private label credit or bankcard industry experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
Ability to prioritize effectively and handle multiple, diverse projects simultaneously
Accountable mindset – takes initiative and proactively problem solves
Ability to lead/influence cross-functional teams
Ability to work independently, with strong follow-through, capable of owning and managing projects from end-to-end
