To provide the cooperative with computer systems and programs for processing data to give members efficient and accurate service. Remain aware of new developments in the field of computer technology. Manage operations of the information technology department including timely response to internal customer requests and service needs which may entail maintenance of PC’s, laptops, smart phones and network equipment; development of reports using Crystal Reports and/or other reporting tools; coordinate with NISC or other vendors for completion of program modifications, reports and other special projects. Implement new technology by managing projects with the use of Cross Functional teams. Evaluate and inform other departments of new technologies and their potential to bring value to cooperative employees and members. Perform supervisory responsibilities. Responsible for the maintenance of the cooperative network, cyber security and software to include providing a stable and reliable server architecture to ensure data integrity with a proven method to backup data. Responsible for the planning of the information technology department which is inclusive of developing, maintaining and testing the cooperative’s information technology disaster recovery plans to ensure the continuity of the business in the event of an equipment failure or natural disaster.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology field. Minimum of five years prior experience in an IT Department that maintains a Client/Server and PC environment. Prior experience in the management of an IT Department is desired. Must have in-depth knowledge and understanding of a broad range of computing technologies, and proficiency in applying technology solutions to solve business problems. Must have detailed knowledge of system network administration including the installation of various network components and system software administration. Must have knowledge of various computer operating systems, relational databases and networks in a multi-layered environment. Must have knowledge of computer programming. Good verbal and written communication skills required as well as project management skills.
Office environment. Weekend work and/or additional hours to the normal work schedule on occasion. Occasional travel to out of town conferences is required.
