Summary: A seasoned IT professional, providing advancedproficiency developing and applying expertise and leadership in two or more IT.
Responsible for the coordinated management of multiplerelated projects.
Manages Project Managers (who are responsible to the ProgramManager for the execution of their project and its impact on the program) tomonitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects andoperations, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program.
Generally responsible for determining and coordinating thesharing of resources among their constituent projects to the overall benefit ofthe program.
Usually responsible for stakeholder management particularlystakeholders external to the organization.
Manage program change in accordance with the changemanagement plan to control scope, quality, schedule, cost and contracts.
Address program issues by identifying and selecting a courseof action by taking into account the program constraints and objectives inorder to enable continued program progress.
Motivate the team using appropriate tools and techniques inorder to increase commitment to the program objectives.
Execute program plans (quality, risk, communication, staffing,etc.) by using the tools identified in the planning phase and by auditing theresults of their use in order to align the program outcomes with stakeholderexpectations and standards.
Develop a high-level milestone plan using goals andobjectives of the program, applicable historical information, and otheravailable resources in order to align program with expectations of sponsors andstakeholders.
Establish alliances with other departments and organizationsby recognizing dependencies in order to assess potential partnership andcommitment to the program.
Capture program status and data by ensuring the populationof the program management information system in order to maintain accurate andcurrent program information for the use of stakeholders. Obtain seniormanagement approval for the program by presenting the program charter with itshigh-level costs and benefits for the organization in order to receiveauthorization to proceed to the next phases.
Support the Program Portfolio by reviewing and addressingresource conflicts and product delivery.
Position requires at least 7 years of direct experience anda BA/BS degree in IS or Business.
Relevant healthcare experience preferred.
