DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL SYSTEMS , Office of the Vice President for Finance (VPF) , to report to the VP and lead a team of business systems analysts responsible for VPF's management of systems that enable a range of financial activity at MIT, including paying faculty and staff; purchasing goods and services; and accounting for revenues, expenditures, and other dynamics depicted on MIT's financial statements. Will be responsible for maintaining these systems in conjunction with MIT IS&T; assisting other VPF units in responding to questions from the MIT community about and providing strategic direction for continuous improvement of these systems; leading the development and implementation of a multiyear roadmap to modernize critical aspects of MIT's financial systems and related business processes; and collaborating with others to enhance financial reporting capabilities.
REQUIRED : ten years' professional financial systems experience in a highly complex organization (nonprofit preferred), five years' team management/leadership experience, and three years' project management experience; ability to identify and design systems solutions for complex enterprises encompassing a range of financial and transactional activity; business systems and process analysis expertise; change management experience; ability to lead projects that provide significant impact in areas not necessarily owned by one department; excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills; ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal colleagues and stakeholders across MIT; teamwork orientation; experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (preferably SAP) supporting a complex organization and best-in-class applications that interact with an underlying ERP or data warehouse architecture (e.g., Concur, Coupa, Cognos, Tableau, Salesforce); and experience with data architecture and data governance constructs and issues.
