RESPONSIBILITIES: The Marketing and Communications Assistant works in close collaboration with the assistant director of marketing and communications and the senior coordinator of marketing and communications to develop and implement PRIM&R’s vision and mission through professional and engaging branding and messaging.
Primary duties include but are not limited to:
Writing, editing, and producing marketing content and materials for email, print, and web
Supporting external exhibiting activities; this includes tracking planned events, processing paperwork for attendance, compiling and shipping materials, and ensuring appropriate exhibition visitor follow-up is performed
Researching and maintaining contacts on PRIM&R's mailing lists
Supporting PRIM&R events; this includes preparing signage and slide presentations, managing PRIM&R’s conference photographer and volunteer blog contributors, and tracking requested print materials
As part of the marketing and communications team, this role will also assist with:
Implementing a consistent and uniform brand and helping execute the overall marketing and communications strategy for PRIM&R.
Collaborating with colleagues on the content, strategy, message, and design of promotional campaigns and marketing materials.
Ensuring quality control of print/digital publications, website, and other materials to ensure consistent brand image, organizational voice, and style, as defined in the PRIM&R Style Guide.
Providing support for web tickets, phone calls, graphic requests, and PRIM&R’s blog Ampersand
Assisting at external conferences and events on behalf of PRIM&R
QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills and be detail-oriented. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, web design/HTML, CMS software (such as Salesforce) and marketing programs (such as Higher Logic’s RealMagnet, Constant Contact, Mailchimp) is helpful but not required. Occasional overnight travel may be required to assist at PRIM&R events.
