**This is a one-year grant-funded position, renewable contingent on continued funding.**
Reporting to the Director of the Asia for Educators (AFE) program and the Executive Director of the Weatherhead East Asian Institute, the incumbent is responsible for the technical creation, maintenance, upgrading of AFE online text resources (afe.easia.columbia.edu) and AFE online professional development video programs, courses, and book groups (asiaforeducators.org). This includes editing and formatting text content, supervision and editing of videotaped presentations and conduct and editing of audio taped presentations; management of new and existing digital files and Vimeo pages, and periodic upgrading of the same.
The incumbent monitors all AFE online sites for functionality, assuring that links are up to date and that sites load well on mobile devices, various platforms, and remain "user friendly." The incumbent acts as a liaison with third-party service providers, selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, processing payment, and acting as point of contact. AFE online professional development programs are conducted on a Moodle site, which requires continual upgrading to meet the supplier specifications. The incumbent manages all upgrades and works to improve upon the structure and navigation of this site.
The incumbent is also responsible for publicity and advertising for all AFE offerings. This includes developing a publicity strategy, designing print and digital layouts, creating and maintaining online registration platforms, and managing and expanding the lists of teachers to whom the publicity is sent. In publicizing AFE offerings in different categories, the incumbent oversees continuity and consistency in design and works to expand the menu of publicity options through social media, Constant Contact, and other avenues of PR.

Bachelor's degree or its equivalent. At least 2 years related experience required.
Advanced work in graphic design
Knowledge of HTML, FTP, databases, online editing platforms
Experience with user reports and surveys
8-10 years work experience in content management including web, video and other multi-media, as well as developing and implementing publicity plan.
