This is a 100% contract position for one (1) year with the possibility of extension or conversion to career status depending on the needs of the department. This position is eligible for full medical benefits.
The Senior Training and Client Support Analyst will work with Research Administration Project Teams, the Research Administration Training Program Manager and the Enterprise Systems Renewal (ESR) Kuali Research Change Lead to address training gaps based on training and client support data.
The Senior Training and Client Support Analyst will also develop additional research administration training and communication, develop training materials and webinars, coordinate training sessions and lead training activities and exercises under the direction of the Research Administration Training Program Manager and the Enterprise Systems Renewal (ESR) Kuali Research Change Lead.
Graduation from college with a Degree in Instructional Design, Business, Education, Public Administration or Project Management, and four (4) years of experience in training and client support; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated thorough knowledge of training and development, performance management and workplace learning.
Advanced theoretical knowledge of educational technology and adult learning theory and practice. Knowledge of cutting edge technologies and tools for applicability to web-based training initiative.
Thorough knowledge of applying adult learning theories and education methodologies. Knowledge of the theories and methodologies used in web-based and classroom training development, and skill in their appropriate application.
Professional skill to design high quality instruction for delivery on the web and in the classroom, and ability to interact with and train individuals with diverse levels of technical knowledge and understanding.
Proven skill to develop integrated curriculum, considering content, sequence, methodology and delivery options. Experience with using course authoring, graphics and presentation software for developing web-based training.
Excellent skill in creating user-friendly and easy to understand training resources for audiences of varying skill levels and knowledge. Skill in conducting research for development and evaluation of training projects, courses and instructional resources.
Strong skills to conduct needs assessment and development of new training courses to meet organizational needs. Applied knowledge in identifying and assessing training needs. Strong skills in planning, resourcing and monitoring effective delivery of training.
Excellent project management skills, including ability to set project objectives, determine and address potential barriers, identify required resources, identify process steps and milestones and adjust action plans to achieve desired outcomes. Ability to apply knowledge to achieve successful organizational outcomes.
Proficient ability to use desktop publishing and software with experience in page layout, design, image creation and optimization. Basic understanding of programming techniques and capabilities with the ability to understand the infrastructure of comprehensive integrated systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of functions, features and potential applications of computer-based and web-based training. Experience authoring Web pages, using current Web authoring tools and best practices in content and usability.
Strong written and verbal communications that express complex or technical content in understandable terms. Work experience in editing for stylistic consistency, logical organization, rational development of content, and ensuring technical content accuracy.
Professional knowledge and proven experience in the overall research administration process, and the systems that support them, through practical experience in a similar large scale research institution preferred.
