The Digital Media Producer and Host/Talent exists to build the brand of the University of Tennessee Athletics Department and its teams, student-athletes, and coaches. This role requires a high level of creativity and strong writing and verbal communication skills. Content must be executed in a unique, relevant, and informative way.
Host/Talent - A variety of subject-matter relevant to the University of Tennessee Athletics will be delivered to fans, athletes, media, and internal personnel via video production. This person must be an effective communicator and will lend themselves to several on-camera and/or in public appearances to build the brand of Tennessee Athletics.
Producing - As a producer this person will initiate and collaborate on ideas for the promotion of student-athletes, teams, and other themes which bolster the Tennessee brand. Strong writing and voiceover work is required. There will be a heavy emphasis placed on producing content for Tennessee's Olympic Sports teams.
Editing - this role requires efficient video editing at a high level. Energy, pacing, and uniqueness of content are critical to finished pieces. There will be a heavy emphasis placed on editing content for Tennessee's Olympic Sports teams.
Videography - occasionally this person will be called into action to shoot footage that supports the original content being produced. Best practices of videography with a creative bent are expected.
Multiple other duties as assigned - including participation in the organization and functionality of the Ray & Lucy Hand Digital Studio and the workflow of the entire department.
