The Graduate Architect job responsibilities include architectural design, documentation and construction administration. Other responsibilities may include feasibility and concept studies plus the development of 2D and 3D images of current and potential projects. The Graduate Architect will assist project principals to ensure that all of the firm’s projects and designs are feasible, meets the clients’ needs and budget, and reflects Crawford Architects' standards, mission and goals.
Essential Job Functions:
Architectural design, design development and documentation
Review of developer’s architectural documents for contractual compliance with design standards
Completion of feasibility and concept studies
Assist with master planning efforts
Provides construction administration services - overseeing the project completion
Development of As-Built drawing sets to deliver to client
Digital rendering and 3D modeling
If sufficiently experienced, will take the leadership roles of project manager and | or job captain responsibilities.
Maintain relationships with clients, sub-contractors and construction team, answer questions and provide solutions
Assist with creating client presentations and interviews
Education: An accredited Bachelor of Science and | or Bachelor of Architecture or a Master of Architecture degree(s).
Experience: Recent graduate to five years of experience in the practice of architecture and | or architectural design | documentation
Necessary Skills: The candidate should have strong skills in creative and technical thinking, verbal, written & graphic communication plus the following additional requirements:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suites
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to work within budgetary guidelines
Strong design skills as demonstrated by a portfolio of work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to build relationships and work successfully with many different constituents and personnel
All around practical knowledge preferred
Project leadership experience is a plus
