This position is in the Operations and Facilities Management Department (OFMD).� This position is for the Medical School Campus.
Position requires individual to perform preventive maintenance and repairs of building automation systems.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs preventive maintenance of Johnson Controls and Schneider Electric/TAC Building Automation Systems through the calibration of temperature/humidity sensors, digital or pneumatic actuators, air and water flow sensors, etc. on HVAC equipment.
Performs repairs to Building Automation Equipment when necessary.
Document repairs and calibrations findings and settings into Excel Database.
Documentation of daily work duties.
Work with FMT’s to insure completion of repairs.
Work with Temperature Control Contractors when necessary.
Assist in working in Control Room when necessary and performs vacation relief when scheduled by supervisor.
Be available after normal working hours for emergency calls for Building Automation System problems.
Other duties assigned by supervisor.
This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.

High School diploma.
Equivalent of 2-4 years of related experience in skill trade functions with demonstrated ability to perform varied maintenance tasks.
Must have good customer service skills and the ability to communicate with diverse groups of people.
Individual must demonstrate the proficiency to perform the position being filled.
Associate’s degree in HVAC or Controls along with two years or more experience with Building Automation Systems.
Experience in working on various types of HVAC systems such as (VAV) Variable Air Volume systems, (AHU) Air Handler systems, Chilled Water and Heating Hot Water systems and Exhaust systems.� These systems are controlled by Johnson Controls or Schneider Electric/TAC Building Automation systems.
Experience with Johnson Controls and/or Schneider/TAC systems.
Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, and ability to work with computers and be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel is desirable.
Working knowledge of electrical measuring instruments.
Knowledge of pneumatic and ddc equipment.
The ability to read and understand blue prints and schematics.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Eye for detail, strong work ethic, and works well with others.
The hiring range for this position is $21.18 - $26.99 per hour.
