Under the broad supervision of the Dean of the Professional Writing and Music Technology Division, the Assistant to the Dean/Project Manager: supports the Dean in administrative tasks; supports and manages annual divisional events, special projects, reports, and programs; serves as liaison with internal and external groups/offices/constituents and the Dean; and provides administrative support to PWMTD departments, as appropriate and directed by the Dean.
Manage the Dean's calendar and schedule all meetings and appointments.
Establish and maintain efficient filing systems in the office, both of hard copy material and electronic data.
Oversee division administrative matters, including scheduling, correspondence, and internal, inter-divisional, and college-wide communications, including some social media, as appropriate.
Prepare and edit selected correspondence for the Dean.
Coordinate both cyclical and individual multi-process division projects.
Assist department chairs and faculty with various requests including
Visiting Artist hospitality, payment, travel and marketing
Departmental registration activities
Other duties as assigned
