MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The candidate for the position of Data Quality Analyst must meet the following qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree in a relevant field such as data science, computer science, computer information systems, etc., or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Minimum of two years of experience in information technology or data science.
Experience developing and delivering data quality solutions.
Strong understanding of data modeling, master data management, enterprise data warehousing, ETL, reporting, querying, requirements analysis, and data integration techniques.
Extensive knowledge of relational databases.
Experience in database development and management.
Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of other programming languages.
Experience with external API integrations.
Experience in writing scripts, programs, and software packages to analyze and validate large data sets.
Extensive understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology.
Knowledge of lean and/or Agile methodologies.
Ability to develop positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members.
Strong communicator with experience presenting technical topics in a business-oriented fashion to non-technical audiences.
Experience working in a project-based environment using leading project management practices including schedule management, status reporting, and communication of project risks and issues.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate for the position of Data Quality Analyst has the following qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree in a relevant field such as data science, computer science, computer information systems, etc.
More than four years of experience in information technology or data science.
THE WORK YOU WILL DO
The Data Quality Analyst participates in all aspects of the application services delivery cycle including the creation of technical specifications and test plans, quality assurance of data, and collaboration with customers and stakeholders to resolve quality issues. The Data Quality Analyst brings strong technical expertise in data extraction and manipulation, testing and validation of large amounts of data sets, and a customer mindset to problem solving. The Data Quality Analyst:
Supports the development and maintenance of a repository of documentation related to data quality standards, protocols, frameworks, and techniques. Works collaboratively with team members, stakeholders, and vendors to track data changes. Assesses and communicates potential downstream ramifications of data changes or issues.
Establishes a high level of data quality through rigorous auditing and analysis of data used in the software development lifecycle process. Develops and implements automated data quality monitoring to maintain an ongoing high level of data quality.
Gains customer insights into data quality pain points, challenges, and needs. Empathizes with and advocates for the customer point of view when identifying priorities and presenting solutions. Builds and maintains effective customer relationships by providing timely follow up and feedback. Handles customer issues and complaints and routes them to the appropriate party for tracking and resolution. Seeks to deliver quality solutions.
Learns and adapts quickly to new situations, changing priorities, and disruptive technologies. Participates in the innovation and continuous improvement process by leveraging the latest in industry knowledge and taking the initiative to experiment with new ideas and technologies.
Continually develops skills, knowledge, and abilities to maintain currency with new developments in data quality, data integration, and data management.
Analyzes problems by performing root cause analysis and tracing the flow of data to its source. Identifies and recommends solutions for problem resolution and prevention. Engages with data owners and subject matter experts.
