MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The candidate for the position of AVIT Solutions Architect must meet the following qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree in a relevant field such as computer science, computer information systems, etc., or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Two years of experience in information technology.
Proven ability to design and support the installation and maintenance of complex, integrated audiovisual (AV) systems.
Experience servicing and troubleshooting new and legacy AV equipment.
Comprehensive knowledge of network topology, equipment, and capabilities in an AV systems environment.
Ability to interpret, analyze, and apply pertinent policies, procedures, regulations, and requirements.
Ability to assess and prioritize problems based on criticality, urgency, and in alignment with university objectives.
Ability to develop positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members.
Strong collaboration, communication, and technical documentation skills.
Experience presenting ideas and solutions in non-technical, business-friendly terms.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate for the position of AVIT Solutions Architect has the following qualifications:

More than four years of experience in information technology.
CTS-D or equivalent certification.
THE WORK YOU WILL DO
The AVIT Solutions Architect designs, develops, and maintains complex, integrated audio, visual, and video teleconference (VTC) systems across campus. The AVIT Solutions Architect gathers customer feedback on system design and functional specifications to create leading-edge AVIT systems that meet current and future teaching and learning needs. As a member of ITS, the AVIT Solutions Architect demonstrates ITS values in action.
The AVIT Solutions Architect:
Communicates positively and effectively with customers, coworkers, and stakeholders. Presents AVIT solutions focused on business value and grounded in relevant data. Adjusts communications to fit the audience and message. Shares information freely and openly within ITS and with other stakeholder groups.
Ensures AV systems adhere to university and industry standards and regulations. Provides documentation, instruction, and knowledge articles as needed to optimize frontline service and minimize operational problems.
Builds strong, collaborative relationships across campus with customer and stakeholder groups to understand and anticipate their technology needs in learning and collaboration spaces. Engages customers, business partners, and key stakeholders from administrative and academic units by gathering feedback on system designs and functional specifications. Provides recommendations for incorporating stakeholder needs and feedback into AV systems.
Drives innovation across campus by designing classrooms, auditoria, and workspaces with leading-edge sound, projection, and collaboration capabilities. Researches product developments and provides recommendations for technology investments. Analyzes usage data to continuously improve the customer experience with AV and VTC technology solutions. Maintains currency on AV and VTC solutions, installation best practices, and industry trends.
Designs integrated AVIT and VTC solutions for a consistent, best-in-class customer experience across campus. Plans for and manages annual upgrade projects in coordination with campus stakeholders.
Analyzes problem data by performing root cause analysis exercises. Identifies and recommends solutions for problem resolution and prevention. Collaborates with stakeholders to resolve issues affecting the customer experience.
Contributes to an inclusive environment that values differences by building and maintaining collaborative relationships with team members, peers, and ITS leaders. Actively embodies ITS values and behaviors including accountability, ethics, and best-in-class customer service.
