We are seeking a MIS Manager to join our rapidly growing team.
Can you expertly design, create, and oversee diverse management information systems? Are you a natural leader, able to manage a team, control a widespread budget, and plan strategically for long-term needs? Then we want you! As our MIS Manager, you will do all this and more. Effectively communicate with all levels of Auxiliary Services management and operations to provide excellent customer service and support.
Effective reporting of client services, ticket metrics, and issues.
Participate in development of and adherence toÂ USCÂ andÂ ASCITÂ IT policies and procedures.
Directly supervise all subordinate staff. Screen, hire, and train staff. Evaluate employee performance. Provide guidance and feedback to staff. Counsel, discipline, and/or terminate employees as required.
Recommend IT goals and objectives. Implement and communicate to staff. Reassess or redefine priorities as appropriate.
Control or monitor departmental budget and provide input for budget development.
Manage daily IT operations and provide specific technical expertise. Direct and manage the delivery of complex projects. Lend technical assistance to others as needed. Resolve problems referred by staff.
Consult with users on project requests or for problem resolution. Develop solutions, designs, and specifications to satisfy user needs. Develop project schedules. Plan and estimate staffing and other resource requirements.
Coordinate with vendors to obtain proposals for purchases of hardware, software, and technical services. Analyze proposals and make recommendations. Order, ship, and/or receive goods or services. Verify purchases.
Plan, design, and conduct specialized end user training for groups or individuals.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
Education: Bachelorâs Degree.
Experience: 5 years.
Directly relevant supervisory-level experience in MIS field.
Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, and University laws and policies.
Ability to lead, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate employees.
Demonstrated written and oral communication and customer service skills.
Thorough knowledge of applications/systems development methodologies, database design tools and techniques, enterprise/information architecture, and network communications technologies.
