1. Oversee strategy, design, development, and implementation of a broad-based CDO Curriculum to prepare all student and alumni constituents for each aspect of internship and full-time recruiting, as well as build life-long professional skills. This includes assessing current programs and evaluating needs for new innovative curriculum.2. Direct career advising for all MBA, Master of Advanced Management (MAM), and Executive MBA students, along with alumni. Generate best practices, ideas and tools for the unique career development needs of each population.3. Serve as resident expert on matters pertaining to career management and advising.4. Recruit, develop, retain, and lead the Program Management team and front line office staff.5. Manage the dotted line reporting relationship of Relationship Managers; allocate projects and give feedback on assignments related to career development programs and advising. Help generate ideas to develop the RM team in strategies, practices, and tools for advising MBA students and designing career development curriculum.6. In conjunction with CDO Director, Deputy Director of Relationship Management and Deputy Director of Employer Engagement, provide direction and serve as mentor/trainer for the Relationship Management (RM) and Employer Engagement teams. Collaborate with Deputies to guide them in their professional development.7. Plan, compose, and deliver an annual communications strategy and marketing materials for incoming MBAs, members of the returning second-year MBA class, incoming MAMs, as well as newly graduated students. Recommend ideas and suggestions to the CDO Director regarding Yale SOM Recruiting Policies and other global initiatives.8. Initiate and capitalize on new ideas and their implementation. 9. Manage programs intended to augment the experience of and improve outcomes for joint-degree students, MAMs, Silver Scholars, and students pursuing careers in countries in which they are not authorized to work.10. Create and maintain a culture of responsibility, accountability, and support for student initiatives.11. Interface with other Yale SOM departments, particularly with Academic Affairs and Student Life, to achieve strategic school priorities and meet annual objectives (e.g., planning and execution of CDO program calendar).12. Oversee budget for all initiatives related to curriculum and advising.13. Represent Yale SOM and the University to employers as part of student led treks.14. Oversee CDO team management of resources and subscriptions, whether on-line or printed, for students and alumni.15. Engage as one of four-person senior leadership team in the office to achieve common goals. Support cooperation, collaboration, and the sharing of information.16. Develop and implement strategies to involve the Dean, faculty, and the Yale SOM community as a whole in supporting the mission of the Career Development Office and of Yale SOM. Liaise closely with representatives from other campus offices involved in career services.17. Provide direction and motivation to others through communication, modeling appropriate behavior, optimism and high achievement to direct reports and office of 18 team members.18.
